Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counsellors and psychotherapists work in a variety of different ways. I take a 'person-centred' approach to my work and this means that I aim to offer my clients a space where they are:

-
met with warmth, empathy and compassion
-
truly listened to and not judged on what they say
-
offered a genuine human connection
-
supported while they explore their experiences
-
valued for their individuality

I offer both short- and long-term one-to-one therapeutic support to adults via telephone or online video. During our sessions together, we can explore whatever topics or issues you'd like to bring to therapy at your pace. In other words, I won't push you to talk about anything you don't want to. Also, I don't set 'homework' as many therapists do. Instead, I aim to work in a more flexible, relational way which is adapted to you and your circumstances.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have an enhanced DBS check and full professional insurance.

Fees

First Meeting
(30-45 minutes)
This discounted session is an opportunity for us to meet for the first time and hopefully you will get a feel for how I work and whether my approach is right for you.
We will have time to talk a bit about what has brought you to therapy and I would ask for a few details about you and your history. This will help us decide whether we can work together.

Full Session
(up to 50 minutes)
If we choose to continue after our first meeting, you can book in for a full counselling and psychotherapy session. We can use this time to explore whatever you would like to bring to therapy at your pace and possibly gain some insight into what's going on. Appointments are usually booked one at a time either weekly or fortnightly but we can discuss this as we go.
Please note: Fees are payable in advance of each session and I currently accept payment via bank transfer only.
